Let There Be Light

The North River United Methodist Church was founded in 1847 in the hamlet of North River and is the second oldest church located in the Town of Johnsburg in Warren County, NY.  The Trustees of the North River United Methodist Church recently met and assessed that the greatest need for the 168 year old building is to upgrade the electrical system. It was brought to our attention that the electrical work was installed shortly after World War II and the electrical system still operates on an old “screw-in” fuse box.  We feel in order to have a safe and secure environment for our members and for the community members who use the building, we really need to upgrade the electrical system.  We also would like to upgrade the electrical fixtures to take advantage of saving on our electrical bill.

The mission of the United Methodist Church is to “Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”  The focus of our church is not only to provide a solid ministry that touches the hearts of people but to reach out and connect with our community members and make a difference in their lives.  

The total cost of the project is $6,000.00 and we have managed to raise $2,000.00 through fundraising efforts. We would appreciate your support.
