Liv Blu Fights Back
My name is Lisa Anderson. I am from San Diego and I'd like to share the story of my neighbors' Carlie and Max Gee, and their 6 yr old daughter Liv’s brave fight against cancer.
On Friday July 29, my precious little neighbor, Liv, had
stomach pains at aquatics camp. What her mom (Carlie) and step dad (Daddy Max ) thought was going to be a bad case of constipation turned out to be a parent's worst nightmare - Cancer. They were told a mass the size of a small soccer ball was attached to Liv's kidney
and both had to be removed immediately. The family has been staying at Rady Children's Hospital since . Liv's 6-hour surgery was deemed successful, but she will be recovering in the hospital for a bit.
She will also need 6-12 months of chemo, and won't be able to return to school until probably January (although we hope she feels good enough to be able to go some half days). I am primarily starting this campaign to help with their enormous medical and personal expenses that come with fighting back against this terrible disease, but also for friends and family who just want to show Liv, Jet, Carlie, and Max some love. Please help if you can, any amount is appreciated.
Here is Liv's blog link if you'd like to follow her journey.
