Maddie Jackson loved life, swimming, her family, friends, lifeguarding and Jesus.  She was extraordinarily driven, funny, and  had a smile that rarely left her face. She had the entire world in front of her, including a promising college swim career, and untold success in whatever she put her hands to. As a Woodford County Kentucky Senior her final year of high school had been anything but  a "slack off" year,  and she was excelling in many area's of her life.

Tragically, on Monday February 9th, 2015 Maddie was suddenly taken from us as a result of a horiffic three car collision on Versailles Road, near Lexington Kentucky. She was on her way to swim practice.  The pain and mourning of the community fully flowed as the news began to spread across social media and then publicly the next morning.

Maddie's life however is not defined by this final accident , nor is her life defined by pain and mourning. Maddie stood for HOPE and was INTENTIONAL about spreading that to everyone she would come into contact with. Because of this we want to do our part to continue her legacy by extending financial support to her family. They are dealing with unimaginable grief and as a tribute to Maddie we are humbly asking you to give. Give a little or give a lot.... it's about HOPE and being INTENTIONAL.

Money donated will go towards offsetting the costs of her funeral as well as provide additional support to her family through a difficult time of mourning.

So why the hashtag #LiveLikeMaddie?

As the news of Maddie's passing became known, #LiveLikeMaddie began popping up all over social media. Students whose lives were impacted by Maddie's  sent out tributes on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, followed by #LiveLikeMaddie. She truly lived for Jesus, and for Hope.... Because of this we want to #LiveLikeMaddie.

As you give, please look these two photos. They were taken in Maddie's room the day of her passing and they speak volumes to her character. The first photo is her 2014-2015 goals. Not only did she spell them out clearly, but she celebrated the victories in pink! The second photo is the back of a book she was reading entitled "In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day."  It was laying on her bed with the backside facing up.. reading it will help you to see where Maddie got her inspiration.

Thank you for giving. Thank you for caring. Thank you as you #LiveLikeMaddie because Maddie..... lived for so much more than herself.
