Feeding Hungry Children!

Who we are:
The Lotta Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charity local to North Carolina and The Lake Norman Community.  Our simple, but effective, mission is to help people in need. We work with Individuals, local businesses and trade partners, focusing on community-based efforts that include toy drives and providing necessary support items like food and clothing.

Why we are raising funds:
Hunger is a problem everywhere.  No community is safe from this challenge we all face.  The Lotta Foundation focuses on our "Lotta Food" cause each year with our "Lotta Food Event".  Families that have to go even one day without food in our community is simply not acceptable.  This is a truth of too many lives.  Helping to overcome this in our own communities is a true passion of The Lotta Foundation.  Each year we setup “The Great Day of Play” and The Lotta Food Event to bring food to those who so desperately need it. 


How we will use the funds:
The Lotta Foundation organizes "The Great day Of Play" - a day of fun for amazing children of low income families in our community. These children are on FREE or REDUCED lunch programs in their schools. This event allows children to kickoff their spring break from school with lots of outdoor activities, interactive games, face painting, balloon art, music, and maybe a special visit from their favorite cartoon characters!!! At the end of this great event each family will go home with a goodie bag filled with great give aways, and grocery gift cards to help the child get through Spring Break without missing a meal.

When do we the fund by:
The Great Day of Play / Lotta Food Event will kickoff Spring Break for elementary aged children and will be on March 26th.  Funds raised need to be in by March 15th.
