I found my passion for lasertag in 1997 when I started working at Laserforce, the lasertag facility located in Carmichael, CA. Shortly after I began working there I realized that I wanted to own a lasertag facility of my own. I learned as much as I could working there then traveled the United States visiting and working in different centers, figuring out how to create the best lasertag facility that I could.
In 2008 God blessed me with the opportunity to go back to Carmichael and purchase Laserforce, the lasertag facility that started it all. That’s when Lasertag of Carmichael was born. Over the past 7 years we have been dedicated to providing a safe, family oriented facility where our guests can come celebrate all of life’s big and small moments with a friendly game of tag. Since 2008 we have had the privilege of hosting over 5,000 birthday parties and 600,000 games of tag. We have donated tens of thousands of dollars of lasertag to local schools, churches, clubs and community outreach programs. Giving back to the community is very important to us.
Due to the purchase of property where Lasertag of Carmichael is located and the expansion of the health club located next door we were unable to renew our lease.
Upon learning that, plans for the new facility began. A larger arena, private party rooms, updated video arcade, expanded snack bar, some exciting new attractions and our high level of customer service are all part of the new facility plans. Prior to signing the lease at the new location we found out that Sacramento County requires us to get a Conditional Use Permit that takes 4 to 6 months to be approved. We were surprised to find out about this after all the months of planning we’ve been through for this project. This has added 4 to 6 months to the project that wasn’t in the plans.
We want to get the facility up and running in Carmichael again with all the new bells and whistles as soon as possible. I’m looking to raise funds to help cover the additional costs that are going to be incurred during the unexpected time that it will take me to get the required permit. All funds raised will go towards creating a facility that will serve the community for many years to come.
