The Lydic Family Fund

Trent Matthew Lydic crossed through Heaven’s gates into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 7,th 2015. He passed away from a heart attack, doing what he loved the most, camping, and surrounded by the people he loved the most.

Trent is the doting husband of Beth and on July 3rd they would have celebrated 11 beautiful years of marriage. Trent and Beth are the adoring parents of Charlie, Tommy and Penny, their three gingers.

Trent loved spending time with his family, especially in the great outdoors. He led his family on many hikes, primitive camping trips, kayak excursions and trail rides. He also enthusiastically served as the Den Leader for the Webelos and Bears, as well as Assistant Cub Master for his boy’s Cub Scout Troop 424.

He was an active member at Friend’s Church Willoughby Hills where he served on the technical team during Sunday services. He was a Godly leader to his family and a loyal friend to many. Above all else, Trent loved Jesus.

Trent had a sweet, easy going demeanor. He genuinely cared for people and spent many years serving others. He was always willing to lend a hand or share some interesting obscure piece of information. His quirky sense of humor and his ability to “laugh on the inside” will be sorely missed.

Trent was employed at Jet Inc. (Cleveland, OH) as the Director of Product Development for 17 years. He truly cared for the people he worked with and those they served. He thoroughly enjoyed the challenges his many responsibilities posed. Trent consistently excelled as a leader in the onsite industry through his work with state and local health officials, regulators, designers, engineers and installers regarding the application of new technology in the field of onsite wastewater.  Trent’s extensive background in laboratory studies, market research and development and product improvement planning paved the way for his active involvement in several industry committees, including the National Sanitation Foundation Joint Committee for Wastewater Treatment, the National Precast Concrete Association Onsite Wastewater Product Committee,  the SORA Captains of Industry Forum, the Ohio Sewage Rule Advisory Committee, and he was the current President of the Ohio Onsite Wastewater Association and member of the Ohio Department of Health’s Technical Advisory Committee.

All funds collected will go directly to Beth and the Lydic children.  Thank you for supporting our amazing friend!
