Jay's Battle with Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Jason is 17 years old and was taken in for an MRI Thursday, June 25th 2015 after several months of fighting symptoms of dizziness, uncoordination, and numbness/tingling to his arms. On that day, everything for our family of 4 changed when we were told that Jay had a large mass in his brain. By July 2nd, 2015 Jay was diagnosed with a malignant, DIPG brain tumor. This is a rare, very aggresive form of brain cancer that responds poorly to treatment causing the doctos to look for a more aggressive and trial based approach. Jay is going to have to undergo various trials, medications, and radiation to help improve his symptoms and rid his body of this tumor. We have faith that God will use Jay to enhance his kingdom and will give him the strength that he needs during this fight. We are asking for your help and prayers to walk through this with Jay (#lyonhearted) and to be forever changed by the miracles that God will do through this time, for God is our healer #jehovahrapha. As Jay so boldly continues to believe [Philippians 2:17-18] Even if I am executed here and now, I’ll rejoice in being an element in the offering of your faith that you make on Christ’s altar, a part of your rejoicing. But turnabout’s fair play—you must join me in my rejoicing. Whatever you do, don’t feel sorry for me.
[Philippians 1:12-14]
I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel, so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard and to all the rest that my imprisonment is for Christ. And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
