Acupuncture Licensing Exam Costs!

My name is Zelina Medina and I am a student and intern enrolled in the Master’s of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program at Southern California University of Health Sciences. I originally started this account to help fund a study-abroad trip to Taiwan, but since it was cancelled and had already raised funds, the funds are now being applied towards my licensing exam fees.
In order to be licensed to practice acupuncture at both a state and national level, a series of exams must be sucesfully passed. The fees for the exams and review courses total to $3310.
Becoming an acupuncturist has been one of the longest and most challenging endeavors I've ever taken on in my life, and I'm almost at the finish line.
This is my story:
My first experience with Acupuncture was when I became diagnosed with Lupus in 2007. I had been ill for months, before I finally figured out what was wrong with me.
My Kidneys were failing and the rheumatologist said I’d die if I didn’t start taking the medication he had prescribed. I tried Acupuncture and something in me changed forever. My entire life shifted.
A FIDM grad, I was no longer fulfilled with the 10+ year run I had in the fashion industry, an industry that was quickly changing and becoming less and less creative.
I knew this was my calling: the healing arts. I wanted to inspire others to have faith in healing again, because I had almost lost mine.
Today, my health has drastically improved. I’m probably the healthiest I have ever been: mind, body and soul.
My passion and interest in the healing arts runs deep.
I'm ready to share this with others.
Your support is appreciated.
Thank you so much for reading!
