Help complete my first feature film

I am a very passionate self taught photographer and film maker who has recently started shooting my first documentary feature film - the story of Groucho's Record Store in the city of Dundee, Scotland.
Groucho's (est. 1976) is one of Scotland's oldest and most famous independent record stores still currently in business and has come through some really tough times to still be here today. A legendary Dundee institution that is known and loved all over Scotland.
Groucho’s has meant a lot to me for the best part of 20 years and I have wanted to tell its story for a while now and I believe that this story deserves to be told in a film like this. I like to document and tell stories about things that I am truly passionate about and independent shops like Groucho's are so vital to the local community - its culture and its people.
I have already started principle shooting and I have been working on this project for over a year now, doing my research and living, breathing Groucho's, music and record stores in general.
I LOVE telling stories and sharing them with others. I was already aware of how important Groucho’s is to many people, but it is an even bigger institution than I ever realised before, it really is a special place.
It is more than just a Record Shop and that is what has come across when speaking to people so far - that it is a place where people can get inspired, where bands form, where you can make new friends, discover music (new and old) and you can be taken back in a time machine to your childhood and enjoy that little bit of nostalgia and something tangible. It is a place where you can escape for a wee while and be around some like minded people.
I know what I am capable of and I really believe that I can make something special with this film. I really want to get deep into the story telling process, from the proprietor Alastair "Breeks" Brodie and the shop’s early origins, through tough, good and bad times, the highs, the lows.
To speaking with family and staff members (ex and current) to the people that help keep this most amazing of institutions going - the customers and what the place means to them. This is not just a story about Groucho’s, but a Dundee story, a tale of music and independent business - an inspiring story about a champion fighting against great odds to stand out from the crowd.
This film is self funded by myself on an absolute micro budget. It WILL get made and it will be completed - but with a little bit of help from people who care about Groucho's and believe in me, this project and my capabilites, the tiniest of donations would really help and will go a long way into helping me complete this most exciting of projects. Any funds raised will go towards any travel expenses, equipment used, production and any distribution/promotion of the film. By donating towards this fund raising campaign you will get yourself in the end credits and an invite to a special advance screening of the film as well.
Thank you so much for taking time to read this - I hope that this project holds some interest or excitement for you and any kind of donation, no matter how small, will go a long way to helping me complete this film. I hope that you will keep track of my progress - please feel free to share this campaign and please keep checking back for any updates.
All the best.
