Medical and Living Expenses

My daughter, Amanda, is 33 years old, pregnant, and diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer. The oncologist shared that data shows a 2 year survival rate. This emotional journey began in April 2015. After being promoted in her career and learning that she and her husband were expecting their first child, Amanda went through two extensive surgeries to remove an ovarian cyst, tumor, part of her colon, and now has an Ostomy. It was recommended that the couple terminate the pregnancy, but they did not consider this an option. The baby, recently learned to be a little girl named Ahna Marie-Lynn, miraculously survived both surgeries and continues to thrive and "kick" cancer's butt in Mommy's belly. Ahna is due December 5th, but due to Amanda undergoing chemotherapy treatments will probably be delivered in October around 30-34 weeks, where she is expected to go to the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit). Ahna has brought much needed light to a grim situation. Due to her condition, Amanda had to resign from a career that she was passionate about and worked hard to achieve. Thankfully, the family has health insurance, but all medical expenses are not covered. We are looking forward to the arrival of our little miracle and "sunshine through the storm". Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. Amanda expects to exceed expectations and statistics so she can see her little girl grow up and go through life's milestones. Please spread the word by sharing this page. Thank you!
