My darling sister-in-law gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl on Wednesday, March 2nd. A perfect 8 lbs, 20 1/2" long with the most blonde hair you'll ever see on a new born.

Mallory had some complications, but the doctor got her all sorted and she and baby were released and went home from the hospital on Friday, March 4th.

On Monday, March 7th, Mallory became extremely ill and was taken to the hospital where she was admitted to the ICU with pneumonia and later diagnosed as ARDS (acute respiratory distressed syndrome).

For the past two weeks, her original pneumonia has made some worse turns.  She's been in critical condition, needs assistance to breathe (through tubes), high fever and blood pressure. She'd been sedated for a week and a half, and still today, she's listed as critical.

On Thursday, March 17th, after noticing that she had no movement on her left side, Mallory had some scans done, which revealed that she had suffered a stroke within the previous 24 hours. Her stroke happened in the part of her brain which controls motor skills.

The doctors took her off sedation and for the past couple days, she only responds to pain on her right side.

Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts. She's a brand new Mommy and only got to spend 5 short days with her baby girl... My heart is literally breaking as I'm writing this.

Many folks have reached out, asking how they can help. Besides your prayers and kind thoughts, the best way to show your support and love is through dollar donations.

During such a stressful and dramatic time, the last thing anyone should have to worry about are the hospital bills. 100% of the money raised will be going to Richard and Mallory to help pay for costs incurred during this time (both from having the baby and for Mallory's time in the ICU).

Thank you to each person that has called, text and prayed for my sister. Your love and friendship mean the world to us.
