First off, thank you for taking the time to read about THE MIGHTY MIGHTY PEEWEE BENGALS football team and the opportunity to compete at the AYF Nationals in Florida. The AYF National competition will be held , December 6th - December 12th, 2014 near Orlando. This is the second time in two consecutive years that the PEEWEE Bengals have had a lifetime opportunity to play at the AYF Nationals in Flordia. Last year they were undefeated , but there were not enough players & families able to raise money to play at Nationals.
The PEEWEE BENGALS are ranking in THE TOP 25 of THE NATION : In fact our team from the little population of 90k in Vacaville ,Ca is now Ranked 4th in the country . 2014 These kids are undefeated, NorCal Champions and , they have earned another once in a lifetime opportunity, and the shot to be #1 in the Nation. Beyond the experience itself , the opportunity to play at nationals will provide great exposure for the players; some who it builds their confidence to obtain success, teaches the importance of teamwork, or/and the hope that football will help provide an opportunity to receive a college education in the future and a lifetime memory for all. Mason Myers (# 81) is a well rounded 7th grader that believes academics , humanity, and physical activity are the important things in life . He is a honor roll student with an above 4pt average , who is sensitive and protective of all people and animals, and loves all sports especially dirt riding, football, basketball , and martial arts. He has competed in Judo (2nd degree yellow belt), Jiu-jitsu (2nd degree orange belt) and football D-line . Football has been the first Team sport Mason has competed. He feels it is very important to play with a team to further his ablity to work with team members on a common goal .
A little over 5 years ago, I was in a nearly fatal accident that was witness by Mason. Since Mason struggles with anxiety which is triggered by change and new experiences. When he first started football he had to work very hard to cope past the anxiety to preform and become a driving teammember. He is very excited to not only have this once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of such a great team but to also break through to the next level of personal development.
At the end of August we expanded his dad's business from moblie to a location which increases the commitment , time and money in start up. So, I will be accompaning Mason to support and ensure his excitement, development and success in Flordia.
Mason is just one story out of 30 boys with amazing talents, challenges, and the dream to go to Nationals.
The goal with this go fund me page is to help us get Mason .
