Matt & Abby Felts benefit CD

Hello friends. Over the years I have had the blessing to meet many of you and some of you have heard the testimony about my daughter Abby. For those who haven't heard it, I will share it here briefly to give you an understanding of what this special project is about.
          When my wife and I found out on Thanksgiving Day  six years go we were having a baby, we were so excited. Nine months laster, the doctors decided that we should induce labor on a Tuesday so that I could be home for the deliverydue to my tour schedule.  Abby had plans of her own and on Monday, she started coming naturally. We began to have complications and they attempted to break the water. They discovered there was none which was highly abnormal. They rushed us to the operating room and began an emergency C-section. Due to the lack of fluid,  Abby had adhered to the side of the womb. To remover her, they had to peel her off. Doing so it removed much of the skin on the top of her head.
          Abby spent ten days in the NICU unit. Finally after she had cleared the woods, they let us take here home. They told us she would never grow hair due to the damged skin and would need many surgeries to repair it. 
          Abby is now almost six years old. Over her journey, she has had four major surgeries and many procedures. We are about 2/3 of the way through what we pray will allow here to have a full head of hair. She has her next surgery this August. As you can imagine, this has been a very expensive process.
          The purpose of this campaign is special. There is still a large amount of money needed to meet her medical needs coming up but we believe we have found a way to help raise the needed funds and also share her story. I will be recording a solo project that through songs will share her story. Abby will be joining me on this project, singing a song with me as well as being on the cover photo.   Several artists, studios and producers have already donated their time and resources to help lower the cost of this CD. I will be joined on this album by some major Gospel and country artists. Through the sales of this album, we will able to raise the needed funds.
          The other reason I'm doing this project this way is for Abby. Many times at concerts, so many of you have been kind enough to ask about Abby and tell me you are praying for her. Some have asked how they can be a part of her journey. I want to show her how many people care about her. I was always worried about the impact her situation might have on her self confidence. God has kept her strong and she has never let it bother it even when other children or adults have stared or saif cruel comments. She is so excited to be on this album and I know it will only help strengthen her confidence.
