Matty Ash charity fundraising match

As you may have heard by now, our pal Matty ‘monster’ Ash was diagnosed with a rare form of Lymphoma, a life changing condition. His treatment has been ongoing for the last few months and he’s just finished a 3 week spell in the Royal Marsden in Sutton.
Our thoughts, concerns and battling wishes are with Matty, Lorraine, their girls and his family as he continues to fight this illness.
So many of us are affected by cancer and it’s devastating impact to the people we love. Charities do what they can to support families as they fight the effects of this terrible disease, but sadly, it’s not enough. Matt has a young family who need our help, specifically financial support as he is still unable to work during this ongoing treatment. But typical of Matty, he is very keen for the majority of the money raised to be donated to a couple of charities close to his heart (see below!) and as a way of thanks for the support he’s received.
Please give what you can to help them all.
Together we can make a real difference to this family and both of the charities.
We are staging a match at Leylands Park, home of Burgess Hill FC at 1pm on Sunday 29th April between the old Burgess Hill county league Championship winning sides of 2001-2003 (Matty was a big part of these squads) and a Sussex All Star team (more details & star names to be revealed soon!) There will be refreshments, a huge cake stall, and an auction amongst other things.
Monies raised from this page and from the sale of programmes & other activities on the day (29th April) will be split 3 ways to support the family, the Rockinghorse appeal and the Royal Marsden.
Please try and get along to the game as well as donating - it’s not all about the money, it’s also a show of support for a good pal in a time of need.
