Melody Goes to Judo Nationals 2017

The Purpose of This Fundraiser:
Melody has qualified to go to Nationals (Canadian Open Judo Championships) in Calgary on May 24-28, 2017 and has been invited to stay with select high level athletes for the National level training (May 29-June 1) to follow!
She is both honored and excited about this opportunity to showcase both her skill and strength as she again competes at this high level.
We would like to invite you to take part in her journey and have created this campaign to give you the opportunity to stand with her as she represents Manitoba in Calgary.
We are hoping to cover most, if not all, of Melody's expenses before she leaves. The figures below will be updated, as we begin the process of registration and booking, to reflect a more accurate picture as we get everything finalized. If in the event that any funds are raised above what we are seeking, they will be put toward further training opportunities as they arise.
The funds are expected to be designated as follows:
Tournament lodging & flight, part of tournament fee: paid for by Judo MB - Thank you!
Our part of the tournament fee: $500
Training Camp registration: $100
Travel: Team training requirements (travel weekly to & from Winnipeg for U of M training, April & May): $800
Food & Incidentals: $320
Melody's club, Southwest Judo, has contributed $350 toward her attendance at this tournament.
We will include a link to live streaming coverage as it becomes available and post updates as we know more.

Melody just got graded to a brown belt! All that hard work paid off! CONGRATULATIONS!
