Since its institution in early 2019, MERA has been a platform which values and focuses on Oporto’s new generation of artists and musicians. After one year in business, we’ve achieved the launch of the following EPs: Spectre Research – by Dust Devices, and Acid Reign – born from the collaboration between VSO and VOLSK. The single Spiral System, another fruit of this collaboration, has also been launched during April of this year. The Prolifera party has become a regular in Oporto’s nightlife, and a crucial element for the disclosure of the musicians we represent.
The pandemic state we’re currently living in has caused an abrupt shift to this reality. Not only for the label, but also and especially for the promoters, producers and musicians, who’ve suddenly lost a major source of income. We are all living a delicate moment, and we wish to highlight the necessity for continued support towards the artistic community – a community that’s pushing through a time of great fragility. Our desire is to provide music to the largest conceivable amount of people, while also creating ways of endorsing those who make it all possible – and we’re counting on you to help us make it happen.
Thus, we present MERA TRANSMISSION – DOMESTIC RAVE, a three day totally open and exclusively online festival. To make this feasible, we need to raise 2000€ in order to pay all those involved – both artists and production crew. This is how we want to work, and we believe it can be done. There’s a suggested amount for contribution – 10€, but we do accept donations of any size. If you can exceed this amount, feel free to do so! And to those who aren’t in a position to support us financially, the best way to help is to spread our message within your community.

Desde a sua fundação no início de 2019, que a MERA tem sido uma plataforma que atenta e valoriza a nova geração de artistas e músicos portuenses. Após um ano contamos já com a publicação dos EPs Spectre Research, de Dust Devices, e Acid Reign, fruto de uma colaboração entre VSO e VOLSK. Em Abril deste ano foi também lançado o single Spiral System, original desta dupla. A festa Prolifera tem sido também uma presença regular na vida nocturna do Porto e um elemento fundamental na divulgação dos músicos representados.
O estado pandémico no qual vivemos veio alterar de forma abrupta esta realidade. Não só para a editora como também e principalmente para promotores, produtores e músicos, que ficaram sem uma fonte de rendimento. Estamos todos a viver um momento delicado e queremos sublinhar a necessidade de continuar a apoiar a comunidade artística, que vive uma fase de grande fragilidade. Queremos disponibilizar música para o maior número de pessoas, mas também criar uma forma de apoiar aqueles que tornam tudo isto possível, e contamos convosco para nos ajudar a fazê-lo.
Apresentamos MERA TRANSMISSION - DOMESTIC RAVE, um festival de três dias totalmente aberto e exclusivamente online. Para este festival acontecer precisamos de angariar 2000€ para pagar a todos os envolvidos: artistas e equipa de produção. É assim que queremos trabalhar e acreditamos que o podemos fazer.
