Mercury Free Me!

Donation protected

I'm a 21 year old full time college student struggling to make a living in order to support myself and my two dogs. Unfortunately, due to a case of botched dentistry and medical negligence, my life plans have been set back several years thanks to $9,000 in medical debt.

When I was just five years old I was given five amalgam fillings. After receiving the fillings I developed immune problems, with near constant cases of oral thrush and vaginal yeast infections. When these baby teeth fell out, my symptoms gradually decressed.

At age fifteen I was due for two crowns. I requested they use porclean only, no amalgam or metals. I was lied to and instead given two porclean crowns attached to metal posts. Almost immediately the yeast infections returned, this time worse than before. I caught every cold that passed me by, causing me to miss many days in school.

Since I was bumped around between relatives and foster care for most of my life, my medical symptoms when largely unnoticed and my problems went entirely undiagnosed both in during my childhood and teenaged years.

Six years later, my dentist confirmed the two crowns were a botch job. The crowns are so mishappen and oversized it has affected my overall bite and caused me a great deal of pain. She is also the one who confirmed they are indeed attached to metal posts which have been steadily leaking mercury into my body for years.

I have had a variety of symptoms develop since, including but not limited to: chronic depression and anxiety, systametic candidiasis, chronic fatigue, night sweats, insomnia, trembling hands, heart palpitations, visions loss, digestional upset, body aches, as well as severe pain in my teeth and jaw.

Additionally, due to my immune system constantly being "busy" fighting mercury, it allowed an infection to spread throghout my entire mouth, which required eleven fillings, four root canals, gum surgery, and severe bone loss in my jaw that may never return.

The mercury in my bloodstream nearly caused hyperthyroidism as well. Even after the the surgery to have the crowns removed and replaced, I will need to take medication for 1-2 years to remove the mercury from my organs and brain, as well as maintain a strict, specialized diet.

The medication may also cause my symptoms to temporarily worsen, forcing me to miss even more school and work.

I am a determined, hard worker, and I put in as many hours as physically possibly in order to chip away at my debt. Aside from the $9,000 in medical costs I owe to CareCredit, I had to spend the $7,000 I'd save for my taxes, pushing me deeper into debt. If I do not pay at least half of my debt ($4,000) by this May, the debt will begin acruing interest and at an exponential rate.

This fundraiser could help give me a fresh financial start, and a chance to finally be healthy again! Any and all donations are appreciated, no matter the amount.

Thank you so much!!
