Megan & Dancers Travel to Richmond

I created "To Meep Like a Peep" in 2016 in an effort to challenge the idea that concert modern dance should be serious and emotional in order to be meaningful. I chose dance moves and a music score that when combined create an atmosphere of friendship, confidence, and freedom. Since its debut, "To Meep Like a Peep", has won audiences over as a high energy and engaging piece that encourages viewers to dance along.

In an exciting new development, "To Meep Like a Peep", will be included in the 5th Annual Richmond Dance Festival  in Richmond, VA in May 2018! I have found a cast of seven wonderful dancers who will be joining me for the performances on May 11 and 12 at 7pm at
the Dogtown Dance Theatre .

While this is an exciting opportunity it does require coordinating expenses for 7 dancers including: travelling from Durham, North Carolina to Richmond, VA; lodging for the weekend; and a performance stipend for their time and hard work! My goal as a choreographer is to practice fair payment for dancers I work with, which is not an easy feat as a recent college graduate and dancer myself.
