Fall River native, Michael Troy has written amazing songs about his home town, people who have touched him and life itself, in the way he knows best… through his ability to combine his music with storytelling.
The Michael Troy Memorial Music Foundation honors the decades-long contributions of Michael to the arts and cultural community of the Greater Fall River Area, New England and throughout the country. The foundation will keep the memory and music of Fall River native and B.M.C. Durfee alumnus alive through support for programs in music and performance for today's students. The mission is to provide a safe and supportive place for our future musicians and songwriters, where they have access to instruments and performance equipment, as well as the technology used in today's world of music.
A Michael Troy Tribute Concert will take place at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River on Sunday, November 6th from 1 - 4 P.M. Some of the regions favorite musicians will be performing the songs of Michael throughout the day. Funds from the event will be allocated by the foundation to help further support the music and the performance programs at B.M.C. Durfee High School.
If you cannot attend the event, this is the best way there is to make a contribution to the Michael Troy Memorial Music Foundation, Inc. (non-profit status pending)
