Michele Cahill Benevolent Fund

Donation protected
On 20th May 2018, Michele Cahill's life changed forever when a simple fall down her staircase left a perfectly healthy woman quadriplegic. After nine months in the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire, Michele has recently returned to her family home which has been adapted to meet her current and future day-to-day living needs. She requires round the clock nursing care and is being looked after by a team of wonderful carers.

Little did Michele know, that she wouldn't be returning to work that Monday morning. One of Ireland's highly respected psychiatrists, Michele has dedicated her life to the well-being of her patients.

Anyone who was fortunate enough to know Michele will tell you that this generous, energetic and exceptional woman is the first to reach out to help others.  Now her sons, sisters, friends and colleagues are trying to help Michele to rebuild her life.

We ask you to help us do this by donating whatever you can to our GoFundMe page. The funds raised will go towards Michele’s future medical and living needs. The administration of the fund will be overseen by a committee of Michele’s friends and chaired by her sister Dara Kearney.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, any monies not utilised for Michele’s care will be donated to Spinal Injuries Ireland.
