Non-violence Comm. Resource Center

Donation protected
My goal is to open the Mickeiya J. Kids Non-violence Commnity Resource Center in Chicago in the Marquette Park/Englewood area.   This Center will serve the Deaf And Hard of Hearing Center as well as hearing families.

These areas have  lots of violence.  Many children and their family members think violence is normal and that everybody lives this way.   My own child was killed in this neighborhood because a young man thought a gun was the way to resolve their despute they were having.  This happens over and over again because our young people don't have the tools to resolve their issues.

Parents too young don't have the tools to help their children.  I would like the Mickeiya Center to offer alternatives to these young people and families in crisis.  The quote "It takes a village to raise a boy/child" has always impacted my thinking when reading and hearing the constant violence in our community.   I want the Mickeiya  J.  Kids Non-violence Community Center to be one of those villages.

Your Support is deeply appreciated.
