Mission: New Kidney and Medical Fund
Donation protected
*Update: Im officially on the transplant list!! 2018 was definitely one of the most trying years I’ve ever had but it’s made me realize how much support and love I have in life. I have a few family members who were/are interested in getting tested to donate. I was really really hoping my Dad would be my donor but after initial testing, it came out that he had some health problems of his own that disqualified him. My sister is currently being tested, and we are hoping to find out if she can continue on, this Friday. Between chasing doctors and lab results, starting, stopping, switching meds, the days I can’t sleep, the days I can’t eat, the days I’m so weak I can barely feed myself, are all coming to an end. I’m so excited to get my life back, and start giving back to everyone that has helped me!
In February 2018, Days before my 26th Birthday I was hospitalized and diagnosed with an aggressive form of kidney disease. When I was diagnosed, I was told I had stage 4 chronic kidney disease and there was no treatment in my case. My kidneys would slowly fail over the next few months causing insomnia, loss of appetite, depression, anxiety, nausea, headaches, weakness, and many many more issues. In November 2018, the disease has progressed so rapidly to end stage (renal) kidney failure that I had to go to the ER, where I was admitted and spent 4 days getting emergency dialysis. I’m currently on daily meds for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high heart rate. After transplant my meds will be changed again to antivirals, antibiotics, and immune system suppressors that I’ll have to take for the rest of my life. I’m in the evaluation stage of getting a transplant with hopes of a family member being my living donor. As you can imagine a transplant surgery is a very expensive procedure, as well as the healing after, and lifelong medications I’ll have to take, and frequent doctors visits I’ll have to cover. This whole process has flipped my world upside down so I’m trying to raise money to cover a small portion of these expenses during this difficult and confusing time. Any amount helps, and is very appreciated. Generosity is hard to come by now a days but I’m asking from my heart, and kidneys, to spare a dollar in order to help. If you can’t donate, sharing to spread the word would be amazing as well. Thanks for all the continued love and support thru this all <3
