Hello everyone!

As of last Saturday, I found out I will be competing at Miss World America from the end of June until July 4th representing the state of Alaska!

2015 will celebrate the 65th year of Miss World, the oldest, most prestigious international pageant. Miss World was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951 and remains under the direction of Julia Morley. The 64th Annual Miss World competition took place in London on December 14, 2014 and was watched by over one billion viewers on live television, internet and mobiles via partners such as E! Entertainment and Direct TV.

The 2014 Miss World is Rolene Strauss of South Africa, with USA representative Elizabeth Safrit as 2nd runner up and Miss World Americas. Over 120 contestants represented their nations. Miss World includes a variety of contests held over four weeks in a rotating international location. These contests include interview, public speaking, top model, beachwear, sports, evening gown, talent, and multimedia.

The essence of Miss World centers on its international charity: "Beauty with a Purpose." This program allows each Miss World, its directors and its national representatives to make an impact in communities across the globe. The organization has raised billions of dollars for several worth causes. Beauty with a Purpose provides each national representative the opportunity to truly make a difference and impact the people of our world.

Being that i'm trying to pull everything together within just a few weeks notice, I can definitely use the help of sponsors!

Here is a letter from the marketing director.

"Dear Sir or Madam:
The distributor of this letter is an official contestant for Miss World America 2015, which will be held June 28-July 4 in Washington, DC. The winner will represent the United States of America at the 65th Annual Miss World, themed “Beauty with a Purpose.”

Miss World is the oldest, most prestigious international pageant which is aired each year on E! Entertainment in over 150 nations. The Miss World Organization has raised billions of dollars for charitable initiatives around the globe. This marks the first year since 1994 that MWO has welcomed its U.S. delegate to be selected through a pageant, including women from 50 U.S. states and 2 territories (DC and American Samoa).

Each Miss World America state representative incurs expenses associated with her work and her preparation for the national contest, including but not limited to wardrobe, travel, lodging, meals, coaching, fitness training, hair and makeup services, videography and photography.

Miss World America state delegates represent a select few young women in America who are aiming high, setting goals, and serving the community. We ask that you support these young ladies in any way possible. Your state delegate will advise on her immediate needs and method of support, such as an online giving website or events and fund raisers she is promoting. In return, your delegate can discuss advertising and endorsement potential specific to your needs. A contribution is considered a marketing expense and may be noted on your tax expenses.

In order to be recognized on your delegate’s official Miss World America program book ad page, contribution must be received by June 1, 2015.

To support the program on a larger scale, including large program book ads, event banners, vendor positions, gifts to the winners, appearances and more, inquire about an official sponsorship at [email redacted].
Thank you again for supporting the Miss World Organization and Beauty with a Purpose!
