IRM Motor Bus / Trolley Bus Garage

The Illinois Railway Museum Bus Departments (Motor Bus & Trolley Bus) are actively seeking donations to build an additional garage.  We have a large fleet of 22 trolley coaches, 12 motor buses with more of both on the way.  We also feature the only regularly operated museum trolley bus line in North America.  The photo shows some of the buses in our collection.  In order to continue collecting for future generations, we desperately need an additional garage to safely store the buses out of the elements.  We are more than 1/2 way to our $250,000 goal and Go Fund Me is one of several avenues we are pursuing to try and raise the balance.  Yes it is a lofty goal, but every little bit helps.  I make this appeal as a past Museum Director, former Museum President and current curator of both the Trolley Bus and Motor Bus collections.  Donations can be made either here or directly to the museum (PO Box 427, Union, IL 60180 - Identify your donation to go to either the "Trolley Bus Dept" or "Motor Bus Dept").  The Illinois Railway Museum is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization so donations made directly to the museum, via mail or through the online store, are tax deductable to the fullest extent of the law (please consult your tax advisor).  If anyone is interested in a lasting legacy for you or a loved one, we would be happy to discuss new building naming rights in return for funding the balance of the new building.  Thank you for your consideration.
