Monroe Family Recovery Fund

On January 1, 2017, the Monroe and Moore families suffered a heartbreaking tragedy. In the early morning hours, Alayna Monroe and her wife, Officer Heather Monroe, were in a tragic car accident at Sycamore and Cochran in Simi Valley, CA where, unfortunately, Heather Monroe was taken from her spouse and family. Alayna suffered injuries that will take quite a bit of medical care, recovery time, and physical therapy. 
The families are completely devastated by this tragic accident and the loss of an amazing spouse, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, officer and friend.
While Alayna is facing a challenge to deal with not only the accident itself, she and the families have had to make the funeral arrangements and help her heal from her injuries. 

There has been a huge outpouring of support and condolences from the community, law enforcement, family and friends. We truly, and most sincerely, appreciate all of this support.

This account was set up to assist Alayna with already incurred medical expenses, future medical expenses and other costs that will incur due to the loss of her wife.
