My Taxicab is Broken
Donation protected
I am a 63 year old USAF veteran who now drivht es a taxicab for a living. Circumstances now find me living in a $50 per nig ht motel while I search for new living quarters.
I was doing all right under these circumstances when the taxi I drive (which is owned by the Company) developed problems with the coded-key security system. Fixing this put me out of work for two solid weeks, almost exhausting what money I had put away paying the motel rent.
I had almost recovered from this, but it turns out that the cab needs a new front wheel bearing. The Company pays for all repairs, but right now I'm out of work again and almost out of money. I am basically tryng to avoid being thrown out into the cold, as I cannot sleep in the cab if it's in the shop.
If you fund me, I will use some of the money to pay for a couple of weeks here at their "weekly" rate ($300/wk VS $350 for daily) and the balance on paying for new permanent living quarters.
This is an emergency not of my making. It would shore up my faith in humanity if you could send in a few dollars to this campaign. If you do, and you happen to see my name on the license of my cab, mention that you gave and I'll discount your fare. Really. It would be my pleasure. Thank you.
