Gabes Avengers Against Brain Cancer
Donation protected
On September 16th our son Gabe Tesch had surgery to remove a brain tumor. He then spent the following week in the hospital. Approximately three weeks later after a biopsy at John Hopkins University we were told the tumor was a grade 3 malignant astrocytoma.
The first week of November, Gabe and his mom Sherrie, had to move to Seattle for eight weeks while Gabe received proton radiation therapy at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle as well as chemo therapy through Seattle Children's Hospital.
Gabe finished proton radiation on Christmas Eve and he and his mom were able to come home. On December 29th Gabe had another surgery to install a port where he would receive his next round of chemo therapy.
On January 27th Gabe began a 46 week cycle of chemotherapy, that he will finish sometime in December 2015.
Any funds that are raised or donated by community members, family and friends have been and will continue to be used to supplement payments for Gabe's ongoing medical treatment.
