Kerry Thompson All-American Bowl

My name is Kerry Thompson and my son, Kerry Thompson, Jr. plays Defensive End for Kingwood Christian School. He has been playing football since 3rd grade and his dream is to one day play in the NFL. Kerry had and amazing season in which he earned player of the week honors in his area and was a dominate force in the league. He has a 3.3 GPA and has a 23 on the ACT. He's in AP courses and still managed to have a wonderful year. He is one of those late bloomers and schools don't really know about him. We spend time every day emailing schools his tape and trying to get it into the right hands. We received a letter for him to play in the Blue-Grey All American Bowl on Saturday January 9th, 2016 at 8pm. We got the letter today (11/12/15). This is an excellent opportunity for him to show that his weight shouldn't be an issue and that he can play on the division 1 level.
I recently just started back working. The money has to be paid before November 20th, 2015 and we don't know where it is going to come from. I don't want him to miss out on an opportunity to show his talent and possibly earn a scholarship opportunity because I lost my job and do not have the savings to get him there to capitalize on this opportunity. There will be many coaches there evaluating talent and seeing kids that were not initially on their radar. The money will be used to pay for the All-American Game and travel expenses to get him down there. Gas, food, and lodging are expenses that we will incur on the trip. We live in Helena, Al and Tampa Bay, Fl is an 8 hour drive. He will be down in Tampa from Thursday-Saturday and we will return on Sunday.
I wanted to try and work to get the money myself, but I had to humble myself and ask because it isn't about me, it is about my son and him having an opportunity of a lifetime. Please find it in your heart to help me give my son an opportunity to play in front of scouts and the country that he would not have without this All-American Game. It would mean the world to me to help my son. He has worked extremely hard when people did not believe in him and even though they have called him undersized, he's been doing great work on the field and his production is undeniable. I would really appreciate anything that you can give to help us make it to Tampa.
Thank you,
Kerry R. Thompson, Sr.
