My son Austin was 1 of 12 high school students chosen from Putnam County to participate in a trip to Washing DC for the National Youth Leadership Forum National Security. He will join top scholars across the U.S. and from other countries. Nominations for this trip were based on outstanding academic and behavior performances. NYLF's mission is to recognize and honor students and the nation's most outstanding scholars and prepare them for a possible future in public service. Austin is an 11th grade student and is currently taking honor classes as well as college level classes, he maintains a 4.5 GPA. Austin is college oriented and focused on attending an engineering program immediately after graduation. Austin is always eager to help others and support or encourage them. He helps however he can at our church from working the sound system, to serving in the children's ministry. He will recieve a college credit for his participation in the program. The trip is out of our budget so we are trying to get help from them community & have been overwhelmed by people's thoughtfulness and prayers. Thank you in advance for however you can help. Please pray for us as we prepare and for Austin while he is in Washington the week of March 23rd!
