Mel's Fire Fund
Donation protected
My mother-in-law, Mel, lost her house in a fire this past week. On her ranch in Central Texas, she raises goats and horses and has many rescue animals, including dogs, cats, goats, horses, and a donkey (or two). She is a retired educator and her husband died several years ago from cancer, so she runs the ranch by herself with help from some great local friends. But she lost everything in the fire, including one beloved dog, and insurance is a long and drawn-out process. We would really appreciate any help for her and her critters in getting back on their feet and hooves. Everything from vet paperwork and animal meds to her medicine to many family heirlooms and keepsakes were lost in the fire. Mel is an amazingly strong woman and we know she'll bounce back, but she could really use a boost right now in covering the basics. We'd also like to help out the local family that has tirelessly been there by her side since the night of the fire and the all-volunteer fire department that fought the fire for 5 hours, long into the night. Any help you could give would be amazing! Thank you!
