New lute recording

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I'm trying to raise a bit of money for my 3rd cd of lute pieces that will be recorded in August (more infos below). I'm not gonna give any fancy sales pitch or gimmicks or over-the-top marketing statements: it's simply just a lute cd, with honest lute playing, made for people who enjoy this instrument and music. It is music from the last generation of the "vieil ton" lutenists of Paris, the generation after Jacob Polonois. I simply try to get as close to the musical sources and instruments as possible, play from the heart, and record a moment in time. If you'd like to contribute a small amount to help bring a simple beautiful thing into the world, then I would be very grateful. If everyone just donated a very small amount like 5 €, then the goal would be reached very quickly!

J'essaye de lever un peu de fonds pour pouvoir produire mon 3ème CD de pièces de luth, qui sera enregistré au mois d'août. Je ne vais pas vous inventer des arguments commerciaux sophistiqués, ni de déclarations marketing exagérées : c’est juste un CD de luth, joué avec honnêteté, pour des gens qui aiment l’instrument et sa musique. Il s’agit de musique de la dernière génération des luthistes parisiens qui aient écrit dans le “vieil ton”, la génération qui suit donc Jacob Polonois. J’essaye simplement d’aller au plus près des sources musicales et des instruments, jouer de tout mon cœur, et d’enregistrer un l’espace d’un instant. Si vous désirez contribuer par un petit montant, et m’aider ainsi à apporter une petite chose simple et belle dans le monde, je vous en serai très reconnaissant. Si en effet chacun pouvait donner ne serait-ce que 5 €, le but serait très rapidement atteint.

Liebe Freunde und Kollegen,

Ich will versuchen, etwas Geld für meine drittes CD-Album mit Lautenmusik aufzubringen, das ich im August aufnehmen werde. Ich will gar nicht mit irgendeiner Verkaufsmasche oder einem -aufhänger anfangen, oder mit übertriebenen Marketing-Slogans nerven: es ist schlicht und einfach eine Lauten-CD, mit ehrlichem Lautenspiel für Menschen, die das Instrument und sein Repertoire schätzen. Es handelt sich um Musik der letzten Generation derjenigen Lautenisten aus Paris, die in der Generation nach Jacob Polonois noch die alte Renaissancelautenstimmung verwendete. Ich versuche einfach, mich so nah wie möglich an die musikalischen Quellen und Instrumente zu halten, spiele auswendig und halte einen Moment in der Zeit fest. Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn der/die ein oder andere einen kleinen Beitrag beisteuern wollte, um eine schlichte und schöne Sache in die Welt zu setzen. Wenn jede/r nur einen kleinen Betrag, wie z.B. 5 €, spenden würde, dann wäre das Ziel sehr schnell erreicht.
