Help Theia

On Tuesday (2/24/15) I took in a dog that needed some care and attention and a new home. She had been badly injured from a car accident, but nobody really seems willing to admit the actual events that occurred with Theia's injuries. But here's a general overview of what happened and what I found out from the vet I took her to this morning that had seen her prior to when I took her in. Theia was hit by a car that resulted in a dislocated jaw and some minor scrapes and injuries to the body. At the time of the hit, it was thought she wasn't going to make it. So somebody tried to euthanize her by hitting her over the head with a hammer and left her in a ditch. A few days later, Theia survived the events came wondering back onto the farm she had been severely sick and injured. A farm hand took her to the vet for help. She was hit by a car on a Tuesday, and found and taken to the emergency vet on a Saturday. Due to the events, Theia now suffers nasal nerve and sinus damage from the blunt force trauma to the head and cannot breath through her nose. Due to the accident and dislocated jaw, her mouth and throat are very swollen and she has difficulty breathing through her mouth. Overall, she has difficulty breathing and is overly exhausted from not being able to sleep. She is in desperate need of extensive medical procedures to fix her nasal damage and reset her jaw. I agreed to foster her until she finally found a loving home. Due to the new information, I am now willing to do whatever it takes to raise the money and help her receive the proper medical attention needed and make sure she gets placed in a family where this will never happen to her again!
