Clair skydiving for Mind
Donation protected
I'm raising £400 for the charity Mind. This will fund me to do a skydive and record the whole thing!
Mind helps support people with mental illnesses, provides them with the appreciation they deserve; they help with people's silent struggles and they raise awareness of illnesses we cannot see.
My mother was diagnosed with manic depression, acute anxiety, bipolar, agoraphobia among more illnesses that effect her everyday life, three years ago. I watched my mother turn into another person and shy herself from the world. From the welcoming arms of Mind she was able to have a sanctuary and become the Mam I knew again, she has far more confidence now. She still has a way to come but she has come on in leaps and bounds since attending the Mind centre.
I would love to do this to raise awareness for every mental illness, as it is an uphill battle that nobody can see. To raise awareness for Mind, so people know that there is a whole charity to help them so they don't go through it alone. To thank Barney and Caroline Saunders, the wonderful people who run the Mind centre in Barry. And to make my Mam proud.
