Our mission:

'To preserve, protect and promote the traditional wisdom and culture of the five tribal nations of the Wabanaki Confederacy for the benefit of all People.'

Project: we aim to begin the healing process of the next Seven Generations and beyond.  We recognize the trauma of our people in the previous Generations and wish to start the healing process through the use of the Seven Seeds of Healing : Mind , Body , Soul , Social , Earth , Culture , and Water .  It is through these seeds and implementation of our lifeways that we hope to begin the reversal of the intergenerational trauma that affects our people and others in the surrounding areas today.  The endeavours of our project will follow these seeds to heal those who carry these traumas today.  Our hope is that these lifeways and teachings will continue on to each generation furthering the healing to benefit the Wabanaki People and of all People.

Our most urgent healing project is based on the seed: Earth .

This property is on ancient land of the Wabanaki People.  It has been used for ceremonies, burials, hunting and access to a historic settlement called Olamon Island.  We were able to finance and close on the property on October 24th, 2016 with loans totalling $650,000 provided by The Conservation Fund and Maine Coast Heritage Trust.  We need help staying open! Please donate, even just a small amount so we can reach this goal and finish this intention of preserving this sacred land and its waterways.
