Help with the cost of tuition
Donation protected
I'm currently attending the University of Louisville in my hometown and while it's a great school, I really hope to attend Warren Wilson College next year to be able to work with animals during my undergraduate studies. I didn't receive any financial aid for my school this semester, so my parents and I were working together to come up with the $3,357 for the three classes I signed up to take this semester. So far, we had earned about $500 to go toward my school. On February 19, my dad passed away from a massive heart attack in his sleep. He was working so hard to pay for my tuition, and now the responsibility has shifted to my mom and I. She's an assistant for special needs children at a public elementary school, and I've been working two jobs in food service in addition to classes. With the cost of my dad's funeral service in addition to the house payments, the cost of having 2 sick pets, groceries, car payments, and other utilities necessary to survive, we don't have any spare to go toward my tuition. It's too late to get any tuition reduced by withdrawing from classes, and without paying the balance by March 10, I can't get my transcripts to Warren Wilson College in time to apply for next fall. I've worked extremely hard to maintain a 3.4 GPA and complete all the essays and financial aid for next year at Warren Wilson. Believe me when I say that if the circumstances were any different, I wouldn't be reaching out to strangers and relying on the kindness and generosity of others. Please, if anyone has even a dollar or two to spare, or even if you are just able to contribute by spreading the word, my family and I would greatly appreciate it. All money raised will go toward tuition and if any extra is raised then it will contribute to helping my mom and my little sister move into a cheaper place to live. Thank you very much for your time and your consideration! And once again, thank you to any kind souls out there able to donate.
