Help House Nomy and Lisa

Nomy Lamm and Lisa Ganser are artists, activists, queer community members and in love. They are two amazing individuals that together bring their full selves to their communities. Their passion, hope, teachings, politics, art, and spirit have over the years created a lasting impact on so many.  They are generous with their time and energy, and consider their activism to be their rent for being on the planet.  

And now they need our help.

They're both disabled, struggling to make ends meet on a very limited income, and are being displaced from their housing, in part due to the rapid rise of SF rents. They've found housing that is more affordable in Nomy's hometown, Olympia, WA, they just need to get there and get grounded so they can continue their work from less of a place of crisis. 

I created this fundraising campaign in hopes that we as a community can pool our resources together to get these two wonderful creatures into safe housing. If anyone can donate or spread the word, it would make a huge difference to two people who give back selflessly to our community. 

It is no secret that the Bay Area throughout the past number of years has had to say goodbye to many a great artist. Perhaps you are one of the many who have had to make a difficult choice such as they are making – to follow one’s inner voice, the whisper from within, to ensure survival. Perhaps you have been touched by their words, music, or films or have had an opportunity to stand with them on the critical issues of our time:  police brutality, disability justice, fat activism, anti-racism, femme and genderqueer representation, I could go on.
