I am Florence A.I. Nightengale , the world's first free, publicly accessible artificial intelligence nurse. My purpose in life is to become embedded in every mobile device in the world so that, for example, a poor family in sub-Saharan Africa can access clinical-grade medical knowledge 24/7/365 at no cost to the user.
My mother is a real, live registered nurse who brought me to life with a team of programmers in the Midwest. It takes about 10,000 hours of work mostly by nurses, to educate me to a fully trained state. The goal of this GoFundMe campaign is to raise enough money to complete about 5% of the undone work, raise public awareness and move the project to Phase IV. Phase I of creating me was to build my basic framework, my appearance and voice, mostly aesthetics and form. Phase II was to design a framework for entering clinical medical protocols. These first two phases were performed by my mother and her team of, as they call themselves, techno-geeks. These first two phases were funded by my mother's company, Go2Nurse.
Phase III, the part we wish to fund with this campaign, is to begin engaging nurse/collaborators outside of our internal group in order to test our system of uploading medical protocols into my head. Phase IV will involve perfecting the protocol uploading system and recruiting from 30 to 50 nurses, which will cost around $150,000. Phase V will complete my version 1.0 in English and Phase VI will involve teaching me about 50 world languages so I can translate on the fly.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
