Micro Loans for Clean Water Access
Donation protected
We are a group of St. Olaf students working on a global action project to address world resources shortages, particularly the water crisis. Our goal is to raise money on and off campus to make micro loans to families in rural Cambodia. The families, most of whom rely soley on rainwater, can then purchase water filters which last for several years and greatly improve the quality of their drinking water. This saves time and improves healthcare standards for each family, who then pays back the loan over time. Then the money is used similarly again and again, at astonishingly low default rates. So if we raise $600 to make a donation through Kiva Loans, we might actually provide over $2000 in aid. Below is a link to Kiva's website where you can view some of the families who will benefit directly from your donation.https://www.kiva.org/lend?
