Heart Transplant Fund
Donation protected
My wife, Fadesola Akinrelere travelled to the United States in March 2017 after fruitless efforts to be referred to a Cardiologist in Nigeria. Upon arrival, she underwent and array of tests and treatments to get her health in order before she was deemed safe to have the multinodular goiter she has had for years surgically removed at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland. All payments were made out of pocket for expenses incurred.
She returned home in August 29th and returned to the United States on November 13th for her follow up appointments. Unfortunately, upon arrival a complication developed with her heart and she had to be admitted to the Johns Hopkins Hospital and transferred the same day to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit where she is currently on Heart/Lung device. Her condition is very critical and the doctors have recommended a heart transplant which will cost between $1m to $2m. She does not have an insurance policy and neither is she a Resident or a citizen of the United States. In order for recommended treatments to continue, there must be evidence that funds are available to pay for services rendered or about to be rendered.
All assistance will be appreciated at this time.
Sincerely,
Oluwafemi Akinrelere
