Tina Alloway vs. Scott Co. Schools

Donativo protegido
Tina Alloway has been a respected school bus driver for Scott County Schools for 12 years and a KY Certified School Bus Driver trainer.  Scott County Schools Superintendent Patricia Putty dismissed Ms. Alloway early this week after scouring the video camera from Ms. Alloway's bus for an event that occured over a month ago.  The video reveals that on February 13th, while loading students at Western Elementary School, Ms. Alloway stepped off the bottom step of the bus for a short confidential conversation with a teacher and a Principal, all the while maintaining physical contact with the bus.  The charge is based on a stretch of a strict interpretation of an archaic statute intended to discourage school bus drivers from leaving their passengers unattended out on their bus routes.
The dismissal is the latest in a string of retaliations Tina has suffered since filling a grievance, along with 27 other Scott school bus drivers against Director of Transportation Roy Prince for his inappropriate discussion and graphic depiction of a male genitalia during a mandatory driver meeting.  Superintendent Putty, acknowledging the discussion and drawing, found it not in violation.  Ms. Alloway's dismissal comes on the heels of a recent unanimous Scott School Board vote to not re-new the Superintendent's employment contract.  Ms. Alloway was in attendance at that Board meeting.
Tina has secured legal representation in this matter.  Please help us help Tina defray her legal cost as she stands for fair treatment for all employees.
