Pacific Terrific Ocean Row

Donation protected
In June 2018, the crew of Pacific Terrific will leave Monterey, California, in our 25ft ocean rowing boat and row the 2400 nautical miles across the Pacific Ocean to Honolulu, Hawaii, as part of the Great Pacific Race. We will be the first 3x crew (male or female) to ever cross the Pacific and the youngest female 3x crew to row any ocean in the world. No female crew has ever won the race.

Our aim is to change this, setting both the Guinness World Records and winning the race. The crew brings a wealth of sporting and adventure experience to the boat which will be crucial to our success, ensuring we are physically and mentally tough enough to each row for over 13 hours a day. We will row in all weather and conditions and be fully exposed to the elements, with just a (very!) small cabin at the bow and stern to protect us from the ocean in our rest breaks. Billed as the World's Toughest Endurance Challenge, more people have been to space than have rowed the Pacific Ocean.

Rowing an ocean is expensive and the crew have all put in a significant amount of personal funds for this adventure. However, we need your help to get to the start line and then raise as much money as we can for our chosen charity, Mind. Alongside this we will also be raising awareness of plastic pollution in our oceans through a number of initiatives.
