Sustainable Ag Internship: Panama style

Donation protected

Kalu Yala Valley

Hey everyone, Thanks for checking out my page. Like I explained in the video. I graduate in May with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in English from Chaminade University of Honolulu. I have been accepted into an Internship program doing sustainable agriculture & Animal science in Panama for 11 weeks. Last year over 400 people applied to the program but only 95 people were chosen to join Kalu Yala. This opportunity means a tremendous amount to me. I'll be Learning, experiencing new places, living simply, and giving back to the land. I need to raise atleast $3000.00 to help cover my tuition, anything extra will go towards my flights.

If anyone is in a position to help me. It does not matter how small the donation, I would be extremely touched and grateful. When I look at the state our planet is in today, I see an unbelievably beautiful and complex earth that has been our only home. It has provided us with everything and allowed us as humans to flourish like no other creature has before. I also see a planet who's resources are succumbing to the pressures of its most evolved residents...us. In my lifetime, I want to help get us back to living more aligned with nature rather than against it, so our amazing home will continue to be a home and we as a global community will continue to thrive.

Conservation and sustainability involves a person doing a little thing...like using a refillable water bottle. One person using a refillable water bottle may seem like it has little impact, but if there is many people doing the same one little thing and reuse a water bottle rather than buying a disposable one. There is an impact. Things change. I am asking you to do another little thing. A small donation to me may have a little impact on your wallet size, but if multipe people donate a small amount. My future will be impacted.
Who knows, maybe your one little donation will change the course of a 22 year old-recent grad's path in Life.

Thank you,
Malama Aina
