PandaXGaming Stream Support Fund

Hello all, my name is Jonathan Oudthone and I’m the owner/creator of PandaXGaming. This past weekend I finished up an amazing broadcast alongside Levelup Live at Texas Showdown in Houston, TX. After the broadcast completed I packed up my equipment and loaded it up into my vehicle. Stepped away to have dinner with some friends and shortly after got a call from my good buddy Jan. He informed me that he walked outside to see someone loading my equipment into their SUV and speed off when confronted.

The thief broke into my CRV by busting out the right passenger side window and unlocking the doors from there. The thief proceeded to load his car with most of my valuable streaming equipment. Once the thief saw Jan he took off in his car and Jan was unable to get a clear visual of the license plate number.

He got off with quite a bit of vital gear that I use to stream many FGC events and tournaments. Some of that includes:

• Laptop (w/ external HDD containing photos/videos of my two sons)
• Audio Mixer
• Broadcaster headsets
• External video capture cards
• Video cameras
• HDMI Splitters
• And various cables/connectors/misc equipment

This was several thousand dollars worth of stuff. Who ever did this obviously scoped me out and waited for the small window to act on the opportunity. I’ve driven to countless tournaments across the United States with my gear on hand and have never had anyone steal anything from me. I’m in shock and am not sure what to do next. Everyone has told me that the obvious thing to do is start this gofundme page.

My next event is Midwest Championships which is May 28th in Murfreesboro, TN. I don’t want to let the organizers and community down so I’m going to do everything I can to make it out.

Streaming in the FGC is extremely rough as there’s not a lot of financial support. This isn’t because of the organizers or events themselves. It’s because the FGC just isn’t quite there yet. There are many streamers like myself who struggle to make ends meet to bring this content to our community and viewers. We do it because we love it. We do it because it’s our passion. I personally do it because I love meeting amazing people at these events. I love making people happy and bringing joy and entertainment.

Please don’t let this instance shed bad light on Texas Showdown or the FGC as a whole. This crook was going to steal from me whether it was an FGC event or not. He’s a criminal at heart and that’s just how it is. I’ve met thousands of good people and I just got unlucky.

Thank you all for your time and support. Every bit of anything means the world to me. If you’re not familiar with PandaXGaming and what we I do I’ve written a little bio below.

I started this project back in 2011 right before my first son Cloud was born. It started out as a hobby as I enjoyed attending local fighting game events but quickly turned into a passion. Since then I've been hooked and have dedicated my life to creating innovative content for the community that shares the same passion for gaming that I do.

So what is it exactly that PandaxGaming does? Our most recognizable service is our 24/7 stream which caters to Ultra Street Fighter IV players. Players are able to join our online lobbies at any point throughout the day to play in front of an audience of viewers on TwitchTv. We also host weekly tournaments and events such as Ultra Fight Night and PxG Online Championships. These events allow players who have little opportunity to showcase their skill and talent to the rest of the gaming world because of location or personal circumstances.

We don't just cater to the online community though. PandaxGaming has seen a lot of its success from broadcasting fighting game events throughout the south. I use my own car, gas and requested time off from work to make it to these events so I can further grow the gaming community in the south. I usually drive a minimum of 6-8 hours from Central Arkansas to areas in Tennessee, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Oklahoma. Some events you may have seen my work at include Absolute Battle , Texas ShowdownKumite in Tennessee , and Midwest Championships.
