A little town in southern New Hampshire is on the doorstep of the construction of a new performing arts center. Help us bring entertainment, education and economic prosperity to the communities surrounding Jaffrey, New Hampshire. The Park Theatre began in 1922 as the dream of Romulo Vanni, an Italian immigrant who came to New Hampshire at the age of 14, and sought to better his business and his community with the bold idea of a movie theatre and vaudeville house in the barn behind his house right in the heart of downtown. It was so popular he expanded it into a 720—seat movie and performance theater. For 54 years, The Park Theatre was the Vibrant center of the cultural, entertainment and community life of the town of Jaffrey before it finally went “dark” in 1976 and almost disappeared — for 40 years.
Rediscovered, The Park Theatre has become the focus of a community revitalization to inspire our young people and boost the economy of the region. Since 2008, trustees and hundreds of volunteers have maintained the properties, developed, designed and engineered the new building, presented a decade of art and entertainment.
