Centro Emanuel Library Books
Donation protected
My (Joy's) parents are missionaries down in Costa Rica helping out at the Centro Emanuel Mission Center. There is a room that is going to be renovated into the library at the Center. They already have about 400 books donated for children, youth and adults and are looking for wholesome fiction stories and non-fiction books that would add to people's knowledge. People would really appreciate any books because books are very expensive and hard to find in Costa Rica.
My mother (Bridget) writes that she has run across both adults and children in the communities near them who cannot read or find it very difficult. She is trying to help one boy named Dylan who is in 4th grade and cannot read. His mom graduated from 6th grade, but has a difficult time teaching him and the teacher has not been very helpful. His mom is reading with him at home every day. My mother is trying to encourage her and teach them some fun ways to practice. She is looking forward to the library opening and having more children being able to take books home to read with their families.
