The Paint Yard (TPY) & Universal Styles School (USS) San Antonio to present Content Under Pressure (CUP) 2015 Urban Life Festival, Texas's biggest Urban Art & Music Festival! Support Art Worldwide! Our mission is to create an annual Art and Music festival showcasing the talents of National & International Muralists and Musicians that share similar interests in this flourishing, urban culture. Our mission is to bring light to the rapidly growing, local and urban Art and Music community in San Antonio, Texas focusing our efforts on community vitalization.
Event Overview - We, TPY & USS - San Antonio, will present San Antonio's fifth annual Content Under Pressure (CUP) 2015 beginning Friday, November 13th, 14th, & 15th, 2015. This 3-day multi-sensory art, entertainment & music exhibition will feature live mural painting by some of the top names in the street art worldwide, an on-site art gallery, live music & B-boy/girls battles plus more. TPY became an national supplier and preferred dealer for some of the most prominent spray paint brands in the industry. Our 2,000 square-foot store and gallery is dedicated to Urban/Street Art, the tools of the trade, and the culture it celebrates. C.U.P. first premiered April 28, 2012 drawing nearly 1000 art enthusiasts. With the continued support from sponsors, customers, friends, family, & guests, this year, the program is set to launch on a significantly larger scale. By supporting local music and arts programs, as well as featuring nationally known street artists.
Scott, The Paint Yard owner, states “We want to reach out to the young people who may use these paints improperly and teach them with the help of USS, “This, [a positive lifestyle,] is what you can do with your product and talent.” We have a team of artists who want to take the youth in the community under their wing and show them a positive aspect to this culture, because they can make money and support themselves. It can be a good direction to go in. Also, these products are expensive, so the artists need a job to be able to buy them and keep making art.” Equally vital to our mission is the support of corporate sponsors and donors who believe, as we do, in the expansion of the positive messages behind street art as a creative and viable art form.
To present the best possible festival TPY & USS is requesting any donation to help fund everything to make this possible. 100% of the donations received from 'GoFundMe' will be used toward festival expenses.
