I'm 24 years old long-term unemployed visual designer from Finland.
As I've been unemployed a little over a year now, I started to miss working and designing. I've done some volunteering, but that's not enough. Few weeks back I got diagnosed with brain aneurysm, and that was a wake up call for me. I realized that I should be doing something that I've always dreamed of, and this is it.
What is my dream?
My dream is to design and sell planner stickers, and have my own little Etsy shop called "Plain Jane Design".
Why I want to do this?
I started bullet journaling few months back and I fell in love with it. I bought some planner stickers from different designers from Etsy to make my planning easier and more fun. However, I felt like there was always something missing, and I didn't get what I needed. Other problem was that some of them were printables, and therefore I couldn't use them.
Later on, I started to design my own stickers and I wish I could share them with you in the future. I'm hoping to open my own Etsy shop where you can buy my stickers that are already printed and cut. All you have to do, is choose what you like, order them and wait for them to arrive!
As I'm unemployed, I can't afford to buy all these supplies that are needed, and that's why I'm here - hoping you to help me make my dream come true.
What's the plan?
Plan is to make planner stickers that fit all planners (blank like Moleskin or Leuchtturm 1917, or custom planner like Erin Condren and Kikki K).
What to do with all the funds?
I'll be using these funds to buy myself a proper printer (LaserJet from Brother) + toners, Silhouette Portrait cutting machine, sticker paper and softwares for designing (Adobe CC). If there's any funds left, I will use them for shipping expenses.
I have also created a wish list in Amazon, where is all of the supplies I need. If you want to buy something for me, contact me and I will send you the link to my wish list.
This could make my dream come true and it would get me back to work. So please, act now and help me to create myself a job!
