Instrument To Decrease Vet Suicide

Thank you

For watching our video and listening to the story of where the idea for Project Refit came from.

Please note we are not a non-profit yet and we do not have a platform built yet. Also, we are not affiliated with or raising money for the United States military or other government organizations. All money donated will be put towards getting legally set up as a non-profit and paying a professional development company to build the Project Refit platform.

Our ask is $8,000 to make this happen and without you, it will be a little more difficult.

Upon reaching our goal we will hire a development firm to build the FaceTime Skype application ($5,000), we will pay an attorney for incorporation, licenses, trademarks, copyrights, etc. ($3,000+).

What is Project Refit Exactly?

Project Refit will be a web-based platform similar to Skype or FaceTime for veterans only. The military member chooses to listen or vent and will be paired with the opposite in a matter of minutes. There will be a special password given to military members and passed along via word of mouth, mostly. If you email us asking for the password to get in, we will require you send us proof that you served. Members currently serving will be required to provide a picture of their DOD ID card, veterans will send us a copy of their DD214. In Dan’s exact words, “Liars will be sniffed out, easy.”

Citizens will not have access to the platform. However, Project Refit and potentially thousands of other military members will rely on your donations. Studies indicate that 56% to 87% of service members experiencing psychological distress after deployment report that they did not receive psychological help. Project Refit could be the next best thing.

Our goal is to build to the point where someone will always be available to listen.

What will civilians get?

Aside from entering and participating in this very real battle to save lives, Project Refit will be helping past, present, and future military members tell their stories to you through YouTube Videos, Podcasts, blog posts, and social media.

We will also be creating merchandise for you to show your support of this amazing cause and are actively participating in an effort to save lives.

PLEASE SHARE! And donate if you can.

Please share this GoFundMe to your social media pages. We aren’t just raising awareness about PTSD, we are attacking this issue head on. We are building a community of men and women who wish to support one another. We are allowing their voices to be heard. We want to show military members PTSD is not a weakness and neither is talking about it.

This is just another battle to be fought and won, TOGETHER.

Remember,
We got your six.

We also want to make clear we are not associated with the United States government in any capacity. We are not a government organization, nor will we be. We are going to be a 501(c)(3) helping connect military personnel.
