Adam's Drama School Fees
Donation protected
Hi there! My name is Adam Sabatti, I'm a 22 year old student currently training to be an actor at Drama Studio London.
I have always been interested in acting from a very young age but only decided to make it as my career while I was at university. I auditioned for various drama schools in the UK and got in first time round on to the Two Year Professional Acting Training at Drama Studio London (DSL). Drama Studio London is one of the most prestigious drama schools in the world whose graduates include Emily Watson OBE, Forest Whitaker, Enzo Cilenti, Olivia Vinall and many more. The course is an intense training course covering stage, screen and radio during which so far I have learnt so much and progressed well in my training on all mediums.
As you can imagine the cost of this course is quite high and although I have managed to pay off fees for my first year, I am looking for help with fees for my second year. Most of the fees are covered by the Professional Career Development Loan I have taken out so I am looking to cover the remaining amount: £2,800. This is campaign is just one way of trying to raise that amount.
My main source of income is working as a Healthcare Assistant at the Jacobs Neuro Centre, Sawbridgeworth. I work 12-18 hours every weekend while studying and then working 44-50 hours a week in holiday time. This money covers mostly my rent and expenses (food, travel) so does not contribute to my fees for next year. I have also written to several arts charities, receiving a very generous grant from The South Sqaure Trust and was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Bursary, as well as writing to several established actors but have not had a postivie response yet. I have also put what I have learnt at DSL into practise by writing to small business's offering workshops on public speaking, presentation skills, team building/confidence or doing promotion work (radio adverts etc) for them in return for a contribution but again, have not had a positive response. I have also offered to teach drama workshops in several local schools/univiersities but need to have finished my training at DSL before I am allowed to teach.
I do a lot of workshops/drama work around my studies at DSL to increase my experiences of the profession and learning skills by working which have recently included filming a short film at Shepperton Studios and a Laban workshop at Guildford Scool of Acting. I am currently looking for new projects to do and will update this section everytime I do something to show you that I am working hard on succeeding as an actor and that your donation is worth it.
Any donation you can give, no matter how small, will be extremely useful to me as I work towards finishing my training. Thank you for reading and your help to achieve my career :)
