I remember the first time I fell in love with photography. I was 14 or 15, and had a simple little FujiFilm digital camera. It was some time in the Winter, and I went out and photographed everything I possibly could. It felt so cool to take photos and look at them afterwards and think, "hey, that's a pretty good photo! I can't believe I took that!"
Now, almost six years and one photography class later, I am still in love with photography. I just recently rediscovered my a passion for concert and live music photography after shooting my first official small, local show for some friends of mine. The only issue is I don't have the proper equipment with which to go out and shoot. I borrowed a friends Canon to shoot for that show, and I need a proper camera of my own that can handle low and tricky light situations if I want to continue shooting.
I'm leaning towards purchasing a Nikon Df with a lens, and if I buy new I estimate it to cost around $3000. This is where I run into another issue. I am a broke college kid, working two part time jobs and still living at home (Thanks for not kicking me out yet, Dad!) With my current situation, I estimated it would take close to a year of saving to reach this goal.
I don't expect you guys to donate all of your money to me, and I highly doubt I will reach the $3000 goal I've set here on Gofundme. But at this point, any little penny helps. I'm just trying to accomplish my goals and dreams of getting into something that I truly do enjoy doing. And this is literally one of the only things I know for sure I want to spend my life doing.
I'm setting this page up for those of you that want to donate for my upcoming birthday (it's April 7th, and that'd be super awesome if you did donate just a tiny bit for that) and also those that just feel so inclined to help me reach my goal so I can get started living my dream just a little faster than if I did this solely by myself.
